	In 2007, he was awarded the Janatha Stubbs Scholarship, that led him to successfully complete a Bmus (Hons) and Master of Arts in Music from Middlesex University. By the time he graduated, Alex had established himself as a trumpet player in London’s funk, jazz & bigband scene and performed in numerous gigs with various london based bands around the UK including playing at the one of the most known festivals in the world Glastonbury. 	Alex worked with Funkshone and released an album “2” with Skyline records (UK) & P-Vine (Japan) aired on BBC Radio 6, done a UK tour with 6 Day Riot including Green Man Festival and released with Blam! Jazz Quartet, 2 albums “Blam!” and “Attached/Detached”. Recently Alex was privileged to be part of Dominic Galea’s “WWII Impressions”, Jazz Suite. 	As an educator, Alex has vast experience teaching at London Centre of Contempory Music, leading a Jazz youth Big Band at The Box-creative arts space and visiting lecturer at the University of Malta covering arranging, composing for Wind Bands, History of Jazz and Brass Tutor.
