	L-ewwel soċjeta` mużikali f’Birkirkara ġiet imwaqqfa fis-sena 1865. Il-Fundatur ta’ din il-Banda kien Mro.[[Tommaso Galea]], l-ewwel surmast tal-Banda. Sa minn sentejn qabel, dilettanti fil-mużika Karkariżi kienu jitħarġu l-mużika taħt is-Sur [[Karm Borg]] sakemm ġie deċiż li [[Birkirkara]] jkollha Banda bħal ftit irħula oħra li kienu diġa ġew imwaqqfa. Il-Banda ġiet imsemmija bħala “Filarmonica Sant’ Elena”. L-ewwel programm mużikali tal-Banda sar fil-Festa ta’ Santa Liena tal-1865 fi Pjazza Sant’ Elena, Birkirkara.
