'''Hunting Cain''' is a rock band from the island of Malta (Europe) and was formed in 2016 by guitarist / composer Tom Borg (1st from left) who had just finished his classical composition degree and wanted some musical change and so decided to start a rock band. Drummer Kevin Attard (2nd from right) and bassist James Attard (1st from right) joined the same year and some-time later Steve Farrugia would eventually take the role of lead vocalist.

The band’s main influences range mostly from alternative rock, noise rock, folk, blues, rockabilly, surf rock and soul as well as contemporary classical music. Each song may contrast the next by being either more minimalist or more complex but always featuring catchy melodic, harmonic or rhythmic motifs.

On April 29th, 2017 the band released their first single Somebody which features an additional trumpet to the line-up, plus 3 different tempi and an evolving form. In summer of the same year their first 3 track EP was released online and featured the songs Better days, Messing with you, in addition to Somebody. On January 8th 2018 the band released another single, The only tried and true. By the end of 2018 the band will be releasing their first album.
