He then appeared as a performer in the 1996 and 1997 editions of the same contest. From 1998 he moved on to participating in [[L-Għanja tal-Poplu]]. After singing ''Daqsxejn Tolleranza'' in 1998, he went on to win that contest in [[L-Għanja tal-Poplu 1999\|1999]] with the song ''Il-Karrakka'', which was written by Renato Briffa and lyricist Mario F. Caruana. He appeared one more time as a participant in this song conest in 2007 with the song ''Fil-Fidi Magħqudin''.

	Triccas died on Tuesday 9 August 2022.		During the first two decades of the 21st century he appeared in a number of musicals including ''[[Sette Giugno]]'', ''[[Żeża tal-Flagship]]'', ''[[Rewwixta tal-Bdiewa]]'' and ''Scrooge''. He also appeared in the Teatru Malta production of [[Raymond "Fight" Beck]] at [[Spazju Kreattiv]].

			Jesmond Tedesco Triccas died on Tuesday 9 August 2022 after a long illness.
