			During the 9 year period under Johnny Farrugia’s tuition, Michael obtained all Trinity College of London certificates, including the ATCL, LTCL and FTCL Diplomas respectively.

			In April 2016, he debuted with the [[Malta Philharmonic Orchestra]] as part-time percussionist. In 2018, he completed a Music Studies degree majoring in Performance, at the [[University of Malta]]. During this course, supervised by his tutor [[Daniel Cauchi]], Michael became an all-rounder percussionist.

			In September 2019 he was appointed Principal Timpanist of the MPO. Michael is currently mentored by Gregory Lecoeur, Principal Timpanist of Teatro del Maggio in Florence, Italy

			Michael also served as a counsellor at the Nadur Local Counsel.
