He comes from [[Iż-Żejtun]]. <br /> <br /> He studied Maltese and Linguistics at the University of Malta, completed his PhD in Linguistics at the University of Konstanz, Germany, and did a postdoc at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology ta’ Leipzig, Germany. <br /> <br /> His fields of specialisation are morphology, lexicography and dialectology. He works on a number of research projects on terminology, dialects, and oral traditions. <br /> <br /> He participated in numerous international conferences, and published many papers in peer-reviewed publications.
