'''The Busker''', as a band, was formed in October, 2012, by Dario Genovese (guitar+vox) and Jean Paul Borg (drums + percussion). The two had been already working together in other musical endeavors but then due to their excellent musical chemistry and similar musical tastes they decided to opt for “The Busker” blending 1960s pop/rock with folk/rock, their two favorite styles. The band’s main inspirations range from The Beatles all the way to folk heroes such as Bob Dylan.

Although ‘The Busker’ is relatively new, the last 2 years, for the band, have been full of events and performances in which through them they collected valuable live experience and enhanced stage confidence. Apart from playing plenty of intimate nightclub gigs, the band, over the year, has also had the pleasure to play at the high school [[Junior College Summer Bash]], perform two gigs amongst the prisoners in Malta’s official prison and had the opportunity to open for [[Tribali]] at [[Earth Garden]] with a crowd attendance of around 1,000 people and also performing in the University Graduation Ball. The band has also recently started busking in the streets of Malta thematically linking their activities with their band title.

Up till now they have released 4 EPs entitled: The Busker, Greenwich Village, EP3 and #FOUR
