The 31st edition of L-Għanja tal-Poplu was held on Saturday 13 May 2006 at the Audio Vision Studios in Ħamrun broadcast live on PBS during television programme Showtime.
The second edition of the Youth and Adolescents category was held at the Salesian Theatre in Sliema and broadcast live on PBS.
