Debbie Caruana Dingli (born 1962) is an artist from Siġġiewi, Malta and she comes from a well known artistic family. Painting has always been an integral & natural side to her. mostly self-taught, she has explored watercolour endlessly & carved out a niche for herself in watercolour portraits. Other paintings, often replete with colourful characters & the occasional animal, sometimes have a humourous note.
Yet debbie believes that watercolour is all about the play of water with the paint, a joy that should always be the protagonist of a watercolour.[1]
Pictures in my studio vary: some belong to previous exhibitions, some are portrait studies of friends, acquaintances and myself….[2]
