The 20th Edition of L-Għanja tal-Poplu was held on Saturday 22 April 1995 at the University of Malta's Sir Temi Zammit Hall at Tal-Qroqq in Msida. 56 original songs were submitted and the final 15 were chosen by a professional jury. The final night was compered by Angela Agius and Enzo Gusman, and was transmitted on TVM.

L-Għanja tal-Poplu trophy is detained for a year by the author and composer of the winning song. Further trophies were awarded to the song with the best social theme, and the best interpretation.
